About Lizz Schneider
Lizz Schneider, CFP®
If it is to be, it is up to me.
Despite life’s twists and turns, I’ve always believed in me. My parents instilled in me both a good sense of confidence as well as personal responsibility. Because of that, I’ve been willing to follow my dreams and open the door when opportunity knocks.
I started my career in the banking industry in customer service over 30 years ago, not anything glamorous but by answering phones and questions about checking and savings accounts, mortgage loans and company stock. I worked my way up to loan officer, transitioned to a “bank broker” position and eventually was promoted to an Investment Advisor Representative role in the wealth advisory division of a top-10 accounting firm. Along the way, I sat for and successfully passed the exam to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
All these roles have, in one way or another, involved taking care of my clients’ financial needs, which has become my life’s passion. I consider myself a life coach or counselor as much as a financial planner or investment advisor.
I provide my clients with ongoing planning, portfolio monitoring and adjusting as needed. I believe portfolio diversification and using low-cost investment products when building portfolios is key to long-term investing success. I help take the often-overwhelming emotions out of investing. I offer my clients support when the inevitable personal or market surprise occurs. Additionally, I partner with my clients’ team of professionals, including estate planning attorneys and accountants, to ensure we’re all working with their best interests in mind.
Though I have many different clients with diverse backgrounds, I am passionate about working with women as clients. I enjoy helping women and find that having firsthand knowledge as a working mom has enabled me to better understand their particular circumstances, concerns and needs.
My business philosophy (or why I can’t wait to get to work every day):
- I enjoy helping people who are looking for financial guidance from a trusted advisor.
- I believe in balance. I help clients, those I serve, plan appropriately so they can enjoy life today, as well as in the future.
- I strive to reduce my clients’ financial anxiety
